Hong Kong Tourist Attractions
A month isn't enough to see all of Hong Kong's tourist attractions! Some are mind-blowing, others thought-provoking. All are spectacular. Here is a small selection:
Amazing animal shows, four roller-coasters, a ride on a 1.5-kilometer long cable car and Hong Kong's second-longest outdoor escalator – not to mention the giant panda habitat, all this comes your way when joining this tour.
Night View at Sky100 Observatory Deck
Tours start after 6.30 pm to ensure skies over Hong Kong are really dark. The observation deck is located on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Center (ICC), Hong Kong's tallest building. As if the views weren't spectacular enough, the management throws in a colourful, sparkling light show to make it extra memorable. You'll certainly remember travelling up (and down!) this skyscraper with a double-decker, high-speed elevator. It takes just 60 seconds to cover 100 floors! Meeting point is at Sky100 Ticketing Counter, 1/F, International Commerce Center, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon. Admission: Sunday to Thursday 6:30 pm to 9.00 pm, Friday to Saturday 6:30 pm to 10.00 pm.
See Hong Kong with a Hop-on Hop-off Bus
There are three different routes you can take to see all of the city's iconic landmarks. Red Tour shows you Hong Kong Island, Blue Tour explores Kowloon, Green Tour travels through Stanley. Tickets include a ferry ride and fast-track admission to Peak Tram. Red Tour starts from Central Star Ferry Pier 7, Blue Tour from Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Green Tour begins also at Central Star Ferry Pier 7, but ends at Mody Road, not Lan Kwai Fong and Soho.
Hong Kong Disneyland Park Tour
Enter seven magical lands and be a kid again! Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars and Hyperspace Mountain offer adults a thrill, while small children will love their own kingdom best: It's A Small World is just their size. All around you are characters from everyone's favourite Disney films. The pink MTR train line links Sunny Bay station with Disneyland Park Resort. Take the Tung Chung Line to Sunny Bay and change there.
This spectacular cable car spans 5.7 kilometers, starting from Tung Chung MTR station. You'll cross Tung Chung Bay, before going to Airport Island station, where the cable car turns 60 degrees and heads to North Lantau Island. The trip takes 25 minutes, and is one of the city's best tourist attractions. Your panoramic views include the mountains of Lantau Island, Tian Tan Buddha and the stunning Ngong Ping Plateau itself. Meeting point: Ticket Redemption Point, the designated counter at the Ticketing Office, access Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal via MTR Tung Chung Station, Exit B.
If you've got steady sea-legs, you could also do one of many Victoria Harbour Night Tours, some come with dinner thrown in, others with amazing light shows, some are on a traditional Chinese sailboat, others on modern cruisers.
