Hong Kong International Airport Train Transfers

Airport Express trains link Hong Kong airport with Tsing Yi Island, West Kowloon and Hong Kong Central Station at the northern coast of Hong Kong's Central and Western Districts. Airport Express trains take only 24 minutes for the journey, the fastest way to get there. Hong Kong's Airport Express trains belong to the city's MTR rapid transit network. Free shuttle buses transfer passengers between Airport Express stations and local hotels.

Airport Express trains run from 05.54 in the morning to 23.28 at night at ten minute intervals. From 23.28 to 00.48 express trains run every twelve minutes between the airport and Hong Kong Central Station. Train doors open on both sides, so passengers can alight for Terminals 1 and 2, and also alight at AsiaWold-Expo Station.

If you buy an Octopus card, you can access free transfer shuttles that run to and from other MTR lines. Passengers with only a Single Ride Ticket cannot access the free shuttles between MTR stations. It's also possible to use in-town check-in services offered by some major airlines at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations. Passengers can use this check-in service between 90 minutes and 24 hours in advance of their scheduled departure times. With an Octopus card passengers using free shuttle buses between Kowloon and Hong Kong Central stations can also enjoy free Porter Services.

AsiaWorld-Expo line starts at the most westerly station and travels to the most easterly station, Hong Kong Central. In between the line stops at the airport, Tsing Yi and Kowloon stations.

The Orange Line, or Tung Chung Line, goes to Tung Chung, Sunny Bay, Lai King, Nam Cheong and Olympic stations, before travelling to Kowloon and Hong Kong Central. If you change at Sunny Bay station onto the Pink Line, you can travel to Disneyland Resort.
